Over the years, I've consistently turned to Kurt Lang's extremely thorough and always up-to-date font management guide for macOS and OS X (Catalina all the way back to Panther ). Case in point was the unveiling of Apple's new system font San Francisco with the release of El Capitan, so it's never been more important to have a trustworthy guide to definitively determine which fonts should stay and which can be safely deactivated or disposed of. However, with each new macOS upgrade comes the addition of several new fonts that may or may not be system-critical. If, like me, with every new upgrade you mourn the loss of your curated list, chances are you already have some experience with managing fonts to optimize your workflow. This can be a real headache, scrolling for days to locate a favorite font that used to be within sight. Upgrading to the latest Mac operating system certainly has its perks, but one drawback as a professional graphic designer is opening up my favorite Adobe app only to discover an out-of-control font list. Again, the size changes from 15.54pt to 12pt. I select two separate text boxes to change from Arial italic to Times New Roman. For some odd reason, the size changes from 15.54pt to 12pt. I select one separate text box to change from Arial italic to Times New Roman. Rendering onscreen starts to do weird things. I can select if I click and drag over them, but not if I clicked directly on them, however I’m still unable to move them. I’m unable to select the resized text boxes. I select two separate text boxes using Neris, and enlarge the size. I select two separate text boxes using Arial, and reduce the size. Now with fonts and rendering, in the video in this sample file: Recently I couldn’t sign into Creative Cloud as it was greyed out. One day I was unable to take a screenshot without it looking distorted and something strange happened with my screen in the top navigation bar - again all distorted. I’m not sure when this started - possibly when the recent update for Creative Cloud occurred. Subject: Bizarre Issues with Fonts and Rendering Creative Cloud
